Our office is located on the edge of Indy’s west side, close to the surrounding communities of Brownsburg and Avon. We are located at 3125 Dandy Trail, the brick building at the north-east corner of Dandy Trail/Country Club Road and US 136 (Crawfordsville Road).
Clients may park at the north end of the building in the side parking lot, and enter the building at the north door marked with an Edward Jones sign (our downstairs neighbor). Walk up the stairs and the office will be on your right.
HOW DO I SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TIME?
You may call and speak directly with one of our therapists at 317-272-5247 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our phone and email are checked during normal office hours, and voice mails will be returned within one to two business days.
WHAT IF I AM ONLY AVAILABLE DURING THE EVENING OR ON WEEKENDS?
Our therapists want to work with your schedule. While our office is not open 24 hours a day, we will make every attempt to schedule you at a time that works for you. We typically offer mid-morning, afternoon, evening, and Saturday appointment times (upon request). Our office is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Please call or email to set up your initial appointment.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
At your first appointment, please be sure to bring with you your first payment or your insurance information, including any co-pay or deductible payments you may need to make. Please come a few minutes early to review our policies and sign our intake forms.
Parents, if you are setting up an appointment for your child who is under age 18, please accompany them to their first appointment to sign your consent forms.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT TO HAPPEN AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
The first session can be nerve-racking. We are sure you have rehearsed what to say several times to yourself. If you are starting couples counseling, we know you have had the same argument over and over. To share your story to a stranger can seem overwhelming at first. Where will you even begin?
Please know that therapy is a process…a process that begins with trust. During your first session, your therapist will begin to ask you some demographic, or “intake,” information, and then begin to “unpack” why you’ve decided to come to therapy. For couples, your therapist will allow ample time for each person to describe their current relationship issues. Finally, your therapist will gather your therapy goals, make a therapy plan, and schedule your next appointment.
Each appointment is 50 minutes to one hour in length. All appointments begin on the hour, so please be prompt to have the full length of the session. Also, please remember your payment is due at the end of each appointment.
Parents, we offer a waiting room for you if your child is being seen. If you have a small child who will be in the therapy room during the session, please let us know. We have a selection of toys for playing.
